August is the month of Leo, ruled by the sun when the flame of passion burns more intensely in our continued quest for our immortal and divine selves. We know however that the quest takes us not on a journey over field and mountain but deeply inward, to a place in the heart no bigger than an almond where rests the Buddha of the Diamond Heart. Luminous and silent Buddha shares compassion with all 'seekers' and reminds us that the heat of suffering becomes the flame of illumination. We have crystal clear vision and perfect understanding of the One.
Prometheus, a Titan, was entrusted by Jupiter lord of the gods to create mankind. This he did by combining earth and water containing seeds from heaven. He feared for man that he had not enough by which to survive so he lit a torch from the sun and brought fire to man even against the wishes of Jupiter who cared little for the Titan's creation. With fire man had warmth and the potential to make tools, heat food and bring light to the darkness.
In the human journey we now have unprecedented opportunity to further our evolution by utilizing this gift not in the physical environment but as a beacon to shine from within by incorporating the divine flame into the seat of conscious awareness, a point within the brain near the region of the pineal gland.
In a relaxed position visualize waves of magenta edged with violet settling upon you. Open the crown chakra. If you aren't clear on how to do this, picture a whale opening the blow hole. Now see a brilliant flame descending toward you first to sink to the root chakra, then to travel up the spine and to rest in the area as mentioned previously, toward the back of the head where your crown chakra remains wide open. Your intention at this point might be, "to allow this divine flame to illumine the path to great compassion and love" to burn away maya, illusion and to bring you closer to that small space at the core of your heart.
In the Tarot, the major arcana card that corresponds to the 8th month of August is Strength. Eight, which is twice four, represents the success we attain based upon a strong foundation we have created with the number four. Eight on its side is the infinity sign--this is the kind of strength that endures. When the heart is open and exudes compassion our 'rewards' are infinite, our courage boundless and our passion acts to ignite the flame not just within ourselves but also within others. Here we have finally 'tamed the beast' and our capable of true compassion. We become Prometheus or Buddha with a desire to share light and end suffering. That is a task that we took upon ourselves a very long time ago.
Eat watermelon, drink lots of water and grow something that is edible no matter where you live. Thank you for your presence and don't forget to love, laugh and leap…namaste, Anna
July
Mid-summer is a time for enjoying the warmth and light of the sun as we make our way through the longest days of the year. Dragonflies are plentiful as are butterflies and all the young that make their appearances in spring. July is when coyotes wean their pups, young raccoons leave their dens, lizard eggs hatch and if you are observant you may see young hummingbirds that have left their nests flitting about your flower beds.
Dragonflies require the warmth and light of the sun to function. They are associated with the "power of the light" and their adeptness at flight shows us the benefits of being open to the spontaneous movement that provides us with what is needed in any given moment.
The messages we receive from those who dwell close to us, separated only by perhaps a degree of light or lightness, is that, like the dragonfly whose colors deepen with maturity, it is now, in this time of deepening awareness that we commit ourselves to increasing our capacity to share our light. In a recent meditation I was surrounded by our 'brothers and sisters of the light' who are the same as we are: "We dwelt together in the time of the Exodus, stood side by side in support of each other as we traversed the hot sands on our way to spreading the light to all regions of this planet. We have never left you." They ask that we call upon them for assistance to further embody the light and traverse this time with grace and ease.
"I surrender to the greater light within and to those who journey with me
for the highest good."
They remind us of the number three and its importance as the first number of creation. In duality we sit until, as the Buddha shows us in posture of meditation we engage also the third aspect of our being, spirit. Within three is wholeness and the creative principle.
The threes in the Tarot deck all represent the balance of mind (yang) and heart (yin) that provide for alignment with spirit for creation in the physical world (pentacles) for the emotional expression (cups) of love, for mental integrity (swords) and positive action (wands). If we focus on the symbol of the Buddha in meditation we commit to a balance within that promotes self knowing and the recognition of perfection in all things that is peace within and therefore without.
The Empress (no. 3) of the Major Arcana is the embodiment of feminine wisdom and love empowered and as such manifests in abundance for the highest good.
Embracing the trinity that we are allows for a greater experience of life that exists right here, right now when we allow the light to illumine the shadows. We encourage each other into the light.
Thank you for your presence, honesty and willingness to surrender for the highest good.--thank you from my heart...mahalo nui loa
June…pluribus eritis amicitia (…"more will be friends"…)
June is the month of compassionate communication the color for which is pink/peach. There are roses blooming prolifically now that express this color. It is sweet, open and loving where trust resides within the deeper hues at the blossoms center. It makes us aware of our own heart's pulsing beat and the desire to express the compassion that lies therein. That is the brief message I received regarding June 2010; that it is a gateway to higher levels of human communication supported by our decision to achieve emotional freedom and mastery based upon honest emotional interaction.
To expand upon this insight shared by aviossgallios 'ambassadors of light' who support us with high vibrational frequencies (in the form of color/sound), I chose several tarot cards. The resulting story is as follows:
Foundation of the reading: 10 of Rods=oppression. not fully expressing oneself.
Recent past: 7 of Cups=emotional addictions and indulgences. holding onto the past.
Now: Queen of Cups=master of emotional integrity. Communicating feelings accurately and openly. Crossed by Ace of Swords=mental clarity, the mind that has no doubt.
To Come: 4 of Cups=nurturing that comes from deep within.
Ascension Process: begins with, 9 of Cups=emotional expansion. 2 of Rods=coming into power. 8 of Swords=clearing doubt (making way for clarity). knight of Swords=master of passionate and intentional thinking that moves energy toward a goal.
In a nutshell, as human beings we have often, over centuries, denied ourselves the kind of expression that creates feelings of harmonious togetherness. We have oppressed/repressed our 'selves' in favor of what we think to be safe, acceptable, successful etc. We have indulged our selves in habitual forms of emotional behavior based on patterns developed over many lifetimes. These we perpetuate for the sake of continued adherence to familiar feelings. Change however is inevitable and in the present evolutionary environment, human beings find the determination to wade through the emotional content to discover what lies protected deep within--the freedom to be! A phrase often heard, rarely defined as there is no definition for the state that exists beyond the story.
With mental clarity gained through periods of inner nurturing, learning to love thy self, emotional expansion leads to a place of further empowerment, there is no doubt and human kind charges forward to embrace a greater purpose with passion and intent.
The major arcana card that applies to this reading is XX Judgement. We heal the past, let go, surrender to the call and reach out to receive the light and higher knowledge ultimately freeing us to compassionate, non-judgmental communication
New Year's Message
A message from Cybele, ancient earth deity, Mother of the Mountain : “Wear the forest as a cloak, allow your arms to sprout feathers, let the rivers course through your veins, the wind to blow through your words and fire to ignite your passion while your feet remain rooted deep within the earth. Your eyes reflect the stars; you are awareness.”
As we approach 2012 every year holds promise for a quickening that guides us toward an unknown future. 2010 will be permeated with messages that we have been hearing for some time…’know our true selves and open our hearts’. The true self, that which is, when the illusion is not.
This year we sharpen our focus on participation in the evolution of life toward a form of perfected existence here. We accept responsibility for living our emotions on a daily basis and allow our emotions to guide us in all of our interaction with others for the highest good.
This year we accelerate our growth and with a somewhat serious focus intend to structure and build in a manner that supports the good of the hive; that is, that which houses us. With sound reasoning we will ensure security for the many. In order to accomplish these things we systematically examine our greatest fears and resolve them--the human being’s fear of abandonment and subsequent death.
How do we overcome our fears? By having faith and trust in the individual as a component of a much bigger reality. The fractal sum of cellular cycles creates a human being. A human being is an organic, bio-logic, temporal fractal. Minds are also fractal systems that replicate the forms and movements of the universe. The fractal sum of human cycles at a larger scale create socio-biological organisms called nations and civilizations. The ‘collective mind’ can also be seen as a fractal system that replicates the expressions of the universe. As such we move through life as perfect representations of source. The possibilities are infinite. The experience is our choice. We can choose to let go of preconceived ideas and we can choose to embrace all of life.
As visionaries we will create transcendence beyond accepted framework and traditional boundaries. As spiritual revolutionaries we will dissolve those boundaries and free ourselves from the ancient patterns that have encumbered us. We will discover true security within our ability to be free that allows us to act with great compassion, as conscious beings toward all things.
In Honor Of…
This is to honor all those beings of the stars, of the earth, of the oceans who come to us in love to teach us so that we might experience an expansive joy and peace. From this place of fine vibration we send a ripple of light energy that flows out in all directions. As the planet moves into a higher vibration, the sea of love surrounding us will be amplified. Everywhere will be resounding love.
The whales direct us to expand our vibrations of love, to see not just the grain of sand but the entire ocean which is ours to explore and play within. With song, sound we expand our capacity to hold love in our hearts. Whales have for thousands of years held that vibration for the planet (along with indigenous peoples) that allows us to play in duality. If we are to continue it behooves us to be the ones who support the mother’s magnetic body. Song strengthens our natural rhythms which in turn strengthens that of the earth. Whether we imitate the whale’s song, the song of the bees or our own individual song we honor the true human being within—we are one with the spirit of nature and so honor all things as one.
May we all embrace our true spirits and breathe in the light.----Happy New Year!!
Creating Space…March, Spring Cleaning
Spring is three weeks away! How to free myself of the ‘clutter’ that occupies my mind; to be in stillness that I might hear the sound, feel the energy, see the unlimited potential that exists within spaciousness.
One way is to examine the fears that are responsible for the creation of some belief structures. If we reach deeper when a fear comes up rather than running, we run into a much deeper sense of utter belonging to the divine source of creation. At the heart of fear is the truth we all know and that is the way home.
Be still in the chaos and return to clarity. Finding your way to center, align and ground is important when distractions overwhelm. There are MANY, yoga and meditation work well as does a regular exercise program to keep energy moving.
Know that the ‘teacher’ and thy self are one. See how the love of the master is the love of self. The teacher is each one of us. The light we see shining from the heart of the master is a reflection of our own inner light.
Astrology for the Vernal Equinox
The sun enters Aries at 10:32 a.m. on March 20th (PST). This is the official beginning of Spring! There are three important planetary aspects on this day that support us to dump the junk and leap into new possibility. The day starts with Pluto square Mercury. Pluto is the planet of transformation and elimination. Mercury is the mind and thoughts. The square aspect creates tension so that energy which is stuck will eventually move. Pluto in the sign Capricorn is already urging the destruction of old structures while Mercury in Aries is poised to explore the potential of self through an enlightened mind.
As the day progresses Uranus and the Moon come into sextile promoting freedom from established patterns of behavior. With the moon in Taurus it will challenge emotional attachments that provide us with a sense of security. There will be a desire to embrace collective movement for the highest good.
On this day, Sun and Saturn are within a degree of exact opposition. Saturn is retrograde and approaching the exact opposition. A planet in retrograde revisits and regurgitates stuff from the past. With Saturn in the twelfth house and in Libra what may surface are anxieties based on fears of the unknown that were established in collective perception regarding the nature of duality a very long time ago.
How better to deal with such profound concerns than the energy of Aries? With the Sun in the sign of the spiritual warrior we will be led forward into the unknown fearlessly and passionately. Each individual will have an opportunity to embrace that which they fear most in terms of bringing the self into perfect balance. There is a door in front of us, standing open that invites each one of us to feel the harmonious alignment of a dual nature and to share the deep love of self that this allows.
The fact that Mars goes direct on the 10th and will be aspecting the Saturn/Sun opposition offers fuel for our flight! Mars direct has a natural tendency to be assertive, action oriented and goal focused. When retrograde the energy is turned inward. We are more apt to re-assess what we want and to be introspective. As Mars turns direct there will be a desire to act upon what we have gained from the opportunity to withdraw and go within.
Spring Cleaning!
…should also include a liver cleanse that ultimately supports the functioning of all the organs. Water and lemon juice, dandelion greens, milk thistle tea are all helpful to the liver but to do a thorough cleanse you will want to check out various cleanses that are available on the internet. Most are easy to do with a little discipline. And most provide you with great information about the nature of cleansing in general. The following is from www.livingcenter.com a site with great information:
Liver/Gallbladder Flush
Spring is the best time to do the liver-gallbladder flush, a natural remedy that can help to eliminate gallstones and accumulated sludge from the gall bladder. Two to three weeks before doing the flush take hydrangea root to break up and dissolve the stones. (Hydrangea root can also dissolve kidney stones and excess calcium deposits.) The flush consists of juice fasting on fresh vegetable juices for two days and apple juice for one day, taking Triphala (an ancient Ayurvedic herbal tonifying bowel formula) during this time to increase bile flow and keep the bowels moving. On the night of the third day, drink ½ cup of organic cold-pressed virgin olive oil mixed with ½ cup of organic freshly squeezed lemon juice just before bed, and lie on the right side to concentrate the remedy in the gall bladder. The next morning, after an enema, the colon may evacuate up to 100 gallstones, seen as bright green pea-sized crystallized cholesterol deposits. (If your liver or gall bladder is in a weakened condition, see your health practitioner before doing this flush.) After the flush gradually introduce solid enzyme-rich fresh foods into your daily diet.
After some cleansing, milk thistle (Silybum marianum) seeds assist the liver as it regenerates cells and throws off body toxins that it filters out. A great liver-cleansing salad is early bitter greens, especially dandelion leaves before the flowers form, with milk thistle leaves, shredded raw beets, lettuces and carrots. Later, lecithin-rich dandelion flowers may be added. Bitter greens, such as dandelion, are astringent foods and assist the liver and gall bladder cleanse, shrink and revitalize for the coming year.
May! Celebrate Love, Life and Lightness of Being
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.--Dalai Llama
May is a wonderful month to practice empathy and compassion. The charming Venus/Aphrodite, ruler of Taurus, lures us into our hearts in the physical realm and then asks us to express universal love from our hearts thereby manifesting the 'intent of the mind of god'. May is also the 'merry' month and a good time to play and celebrate all the gifts that are available to us in so many wonderful forms here. Eating healthfully is the natural desire at this time of year when fresh produce is abundant and warm weather entices us out of doors. Appreciation follows as a way of expressing gratitude for the physical forms that entertain us so fully on our planet earth. Be encouraged to look more carefully at what you really want by focusing on 31 days of kindness, merriment and eating in accordance with your natural template.
The New Moon on May 13th at 6:04 p.m occurs in the last 10 degrees of the sign Taurus and has a poignant message for us to contemplate; the extent to which we are influenced by our primordial instincts and the 'will' to survive and how that has caused endless suffering that need not be. This New Moon asks us to recognize that our basic needs are met and that survival is a given not something for which we have to fight. It also asks us to consider individual self worth in relation to the well being of the collective and to conquer fear in order to embrace the love nature.
The New Moon is a time to "emerge out of the seed capsule in order to begin an entire new cycle of activity." According to Demetra George in Finding Our Way Through the Dark, "…people born during this phase are symbolically coming out of the dark." Coming out of the dark is what precedes being enveloped by light. Light and love are synonymous.
The Colorful Vibration of Love
What if we exist in multiple dimensions simultaneously? What if we are witnessing ourselves living this lifetime from an evolved perspective? And, from this evolved perspective we are interacting with this physical presence because we are one and the same. The vibration we create here is a vapor trail upon the vast expanse of star strewn space. You and I stand in a crystal city of infinite beauty where violet hues emanate from the elusive form of glass-like structure reflecting and reverberating in every direction from a multitude of angles, the vibration of love.
A sound, produced by light interacting with crystal is heavenly music, angels giggling; softly skips across a field of hexagonal infinitude on its way to rendering itself audible to human ears. The magnificent power of the mind to create anything we want is apparent as we move deeper toward a knowing of the true self. For now we bask in the divine vibration of love and light that is showered upon us from sources as unlimited as our ability to imagine them so. In my imagination I visualize the color vibration of violet with accompanying angelic chorus shimmering down upon us in ever increasing waves of grace.
The Color Violet
…is the last color of the spectrum and so represents the highest qualities of human expression. It relates to the 7th chakra, the realm of spirit and our realization of universal oneness. Violet raises us to new vibrational potential.
